The use of the cooled semen in cattle will still have to break many paradigms, like any biotech that comes as a novelty. Although, it is an old practice, it is not routine in the bovine species and is seen with great expansion potential, precisely because of the FTAI protocols. That is, it is possible to programmed to collect a specific bull and inseminate the females with a significant increase in pregnancy, when compared to the same bull if to be used with the frozen semen. It will not be a biotechnology available to everyone, just as no technology is. For example, FTAI, ET, IVF, Cloning whereas for one property can be excellent, it may not be for the other, because to costs, labor, logistics, equipment, etc. There are numerous factors that make unfeasible the use a the same biotechnology. However, the few papers available in the literature show good results for the adoption of this biotechnology. It is known, as mentioned above, that it is a new line of research, precisely because it was abandoned after the glycerol discovery in the 1940s. Thus, many experiments can contribute to the improvement of the cooled semen, increasing longevity and facilitating adoption, in like to logistics, for example. The most important of the producer and / or technician responsible to understand is that if he to reproduce the better bulls, investing in the purchase of these animals, the better the added value to the calf produced. In this way, increasing the birth rate, together with the quality of these born animals, is what we recommend in adopting this practice. Ao longo dos anos o fungo Phakopsora pachyrhizi, causador da ferrugem-asiática, tem apresentado alterações em relação à aplicação de fungicidas, com seleção de isolados menos sensíveis. Com este cenário desfavorável, prolongar a vida útil desses produtos através do uso racional e da adoção de boas práticas culturais se torna cada vez mais indispensável.
